Welcome to my site! My name’s June.  I’m  here to  give you an insider perspective on Chinatown.  I came here with my family about 25 years ago, spent my entire childhood here and married someone who was born and raised right here in the heart of Chinatown.  Together we eat, live, and enjoy everyday coming home to this little town on the southeast end of Manhattan.

This site was put together so that I can expose you to New York City’s Chinatown from a true local’s perspective.  I believe I can show you an intimate portrait of its people and places.  I’ll show you where I personally go to get the best deals and extraordinary services.  I do this to help you sort through the seemingly confusing multitude of small shops and eateries in this unique community.  Having said that, this is not an inside look at all the bizarre foods and strange practices.  In fact, I hope it will help create a bridge into a somewhat closed and quiet society. Looking in, you will find it brimming with life and vibrancy – and great deals!
