People
There are so many people in Chinatown, there is human traffic everywhere. People also come in a great variety. Tourists have become abundant since Chinatown has become a shopping haven for knockoffs, trinkets and mementos. Chinese people also come from very differing regions of China dividing them by tradition and customs, quirks and habits, and unfortunately, language. That’s why doing business in Chinatown is very difficult since the audience is surprisingly diverse. Hence the menus with so much variety, while well-intentioned to satisfy every possible taste preference, cannot possibly allow for the chefs to perfect every dish. Business owners that thrive often must be tri-lingual and extremely adaptable. Any award for best service in Chinatown is not easily earned.
